AUDITIONS

Washington Pro Musica Youth Orchestra

is holding auditions for strings, woodwinds and brass

in June, July, August and September by appointment,

between 5pm to 9pm at:

Requirements:

-- Scales up to 4 sharps and 4 flats, one or two octaves

-- Chromatics for those scales

-- Scales and Chromatics are played in even 8th notes

at metronomic speed of quarter note = 72

-- Intonation and rhythm

-- Bring any solo piece with 2 copies showing off your abilities

-- Sight-reading

-- 6th grade and above can audition

-- Non-refundable Audition Fee is $20.00 cash or check

made out to: Washington Pro Musica

Two concerts are scheduled - One this Fall 2009 and one in Spring 2010.

Rehearsals for each concert are on Thursday evenings from 7pm to 8:45pm.
